“Interview by Nathan MacDonald”
Nathan: Evermore is a well known manufacturer of professional industrial robots, and they play a key role in the planning and design of automated systems for the machine tool industry. Let’s find out a little bit more about their company.
We are here with Jeremy Liao manager at Evermore, Jeremy thank you for your time.
Nathan: Could you tell us a little bit more about your company and your product range?
Jeremy Liao: Our company was established in 1979 and we started mainly producing tool holders for milling machines. Then later we started producing tool holders for CNC machines and other equipment. In 2008 our company started manufacturing 6-axis CNC robot arms, and since then we have been dedicated to automation solutions and have accumulated a lot of experience.
Nathan: Let’s talk about some of the products you have on display.
Jeremy Liao: The 160kg, 12kg and 6kg robot arms are our main products at the show. Our 160 kg payload robot arm is simulating the loading and unloading of tire rims. A robot arm as large as this one, can also be used for casting, polishing, and large scale production processes used in the automotive industry.
The 12kg robot arm is our newest model and the 12kg robot arm has all electrical circuits integrated inside so that it is not exposed. This makes sure that there is no damage during use and results in a much smoother movement of the robot arm.
The third product is our 6kg robot arm, which has an auto storage loading and unloading function. It can also perform loading and unloading movements for lathes, turning centers, and milling machines, and it can also work continuously for 8 hours. We also provide customization options to increase our customers’ efficiency and to help our customers solve any labor issues or product inconsistencies; we will always assist them and help to resolve any issues.
Nathan: At TIMTOS 2015 there’s been a lot of talk about industry 4.0, what role will your company play in the near future for the machine tool industry here in Taiwan?
Jeremy Liao: Of course! Within the next few years, Taiwan cannot be forgotten. Currently people in the machine tool industry are working hard to combine 4.0 tools, and they also want to improve their software, such as MES systems, task schedulers, and fixtures. These can all be combined with our automation solutions, and of course Evermore will do our best in this area. We will definitely help our customers plan their applications, help them to increase their productivity, and help them solve all of their processing issues. If you need further information about our products and services, please visit our website to contact us, and we will be at your service as soon as possible.
Nathan: Thank you so much for your time.
